Christmas, Christmas, Christmas

Okay so I know I have been terrible about posting, but in my defense I have misplaced the cord to upload pictures. So I bought a new cord, well it doesn't work.

Christmas activities began on Tuesday night with Travis' Mom and step dad. We had a nice meal and yummy pies that Aunt Kiki made for us. Then we opened the presents. The kids got a cash register, a coffee maker and pots and pans for the kitchen. Camden loves playing with the cash register, you can talk into a microphone it's really neat. I got some new perfume and T got a few new shirts. It was a relaxing evening a great start to Christmas.

Wednesday at noon we went to my mom's house for lunch and presents. My whole family was there along with cousin Lisa and Larry. We had a huge meal, wayyyy too much food. Before we ate Cousin Lisa and Sarah helped the kids make renideer food. It was so sweet of them, they brought everything to make it. Camden couldnt wait to sprinkle the food for Santa's reindeers. Then it was time to open presents. About a month ago Mom told me that she didnt do as much this year and I was so glad to here that. She tends to go over board. Well she lied..... Here is just some of the things the kids got:
Remote control Helicopter
pots and pans
kitchen food
little peopl barn
jewlery
dolls
cowboy boots
dress up clothes
balls
pizza elmo
tool set
and more....... It was crazy. The kids didnt need another thing, and we still had a huge Christmas gathering later that day. Our van was so full we couldnt fit aother thing in it.

We arrived back home around 430pm. The little ones had not had a nap and we were expecting 20 Kerr family members at 630. Before they arrived we opend gifts with the Lindeman's. That is always one of my favorite times during Christmas. i love to see Aub and Ty open. Kari and Jon got Travis and I spa gift cert. We cant wait to go get massages at the Rock Barn. Camden got a train set and a duke outfitt. Ellie got a cute outfitt and a vaccum cleaner. Perry got a outfitt and a leapfrog fridge aniamal set.

Then the craziness happened! We had a fantastic appetizer buffett followed by a great game of seven. Brandon was the winner! This year we had the kids open presents as slow as we could control it. It is so hard to see what everyone gets and who they get it from. We didnt get tons of pictures , but we did video the whole thing. Ellie got a new baby and stroller which she pushed around the rest of the night. Everything she opened she tried to put in her stroller. She looked like a bog lady. It was so funny. Camden got a leapster from Maw. Perry got a John Deer wagon.
They also got:
Puppy in a bag
cabage patch doll
mac truck
Cars
view finder set
walmart gift cards
gloves
clothes
camden and ellie got leather jackets

Did Santa really need to come?????

We didnt get the kids in bed until 1030. We didnt get into bed until 1am. Camden woke up at 8am thankfully, which is late for him. We delayed him until 830, when Ellie woke up. Perry didnt see what Santa brought him until 10am, we let him sleep in. Uncle Richie and Uncle Adam spent the night with us so they we nice enough to video Christmas morning for us. So again not many pictures. We had a lazy morning playing with the new toys. Nana and Poppa Dave came over to see what Santa brought, and for some reason Santa brought stockings to Nana's house too. And those stockings had candy in them, I think that is what they had for breakfast! We all layed down for naps around 1230 and slept until 3pm. Around 430 the Woods family and Maw came over for Christmas dinner. We decided to change it up this year and have barbeque. We spent the rest of the evening playing the wii and watching the kids play dress up. What a great end to a wonderful Christmas! I promise to post pictures really soon.

The pictures say it all! It was so awesome!

Northlake Mall to see Santa

We went to see Santa and do a little bit of shopping at Northlake a couple weeks ago. We didn't get the kids picture taken with Santa because the cheapest picture was $17. No way! Camden was the only one who would sit in his lap. Ellie and Perry gave him a high five!

A Funny Moment...

It has been a while since I have updated the blog. Reason being is either myself or one of the kids has misplaced the cord to upload my pictures. Today I bought something that I thought would work but doesn't. So here is an update with no pictures. We have been really busy with Christmas parties lately, 2 every weekend. This Wednesday is Ellie and Camden's Christmas program at the preschool. They have been practicing the songs at home and i cant wait to here them sing. That's if they do, last year Camden just smiled the whole time. Today I was on the computer writing an email right before nap. The kids were playing nicely and quite so I wasn't really paying attention. Travis came in for a quick break and said "Why is Perry naked" of course I had no idea, he had on jeans, a sweater and socks last time i saw him which was a minute ago. I guess Ellie had taken all of his clothes off including his diaper! He was running around laughing. Travis and I couldn't stop laughing!

Camden and Santa

Nana took Camden and Ellie to her church to see Santa. Ellie wanted nothing to do with him. As you can see Camden was very happy to see Santa.

Decorating for Christmas

Decorating with 3 little ones was very interesting. So different from last year when Ellie and Perry was just babies. Now they all wanted to "help". Camden said that this was the best day ever! I love that he is so excited this year. Christmas morning is going to be so much fun.

Family Pictures

We had some Family Pictures taken for our Christmas card. I am not posting the "one" but here are few of them. The kids did as good as to be expected. We had a very patient photographer.

Thanksgiving Day

We had breakfast at Mom's house Thanksgiving morning. Nikki and Ben had to travel to see his family so we gathered early and had our favorite breakfast tacos! We had a nice morning visiting with Cousin Lisa and her family. It was great not having to get ready for a noon meal, I got to watch the parade! We went home around 11:30 to put the kids down for a nap and start cooking for the 20 family members we were expecting at 5pm. Travis was a huge help this year he made the ham and helped me bake. After we ate the kids carried on the family tradition of making apple turkeys, I have been making them since I was Ellie's age. I didn't get a picture of a finished one because they started eating them before I could get one. I am sure some of you are thinking 20 people at your house?? I love it , it was so much fun!

Mooresville Thanksgiving Parade

Tuesday was a long and fun day. That morning we had Thanksgiving parties at school , then the parade and Thanksgiving supper at church. We had our neighbors with us that day Lyndsey and Logan. The kids enjoyed watching the parade, until they started throwing candy. That is where my kids lost interest, all they could think about was the candy. I couldn't believe how much candy they got in 45 minutes, which how long we stayed. I am sure you can tell how cold we were.

A fun family night with the Lindemans

We had the Lindeman's over for dinner for Jon's birthday. It was so nice spending time with them. We don't see each other as much anymore so our time together is special. As you can see all of the children love to pose for pictures. Every time we tried to take a picture of anyone Ellie HAD to be in it.
