Visit with Paw Rick and Uncle Richie

My Dad and brother came to visit from Texas last week. We had a great time doing much of nothing. We watched alot of the Olympics and spent some time on the lake. The kids loved playing with both of them. I wish they lived closer.

Crabbing at Oak Island

Last night Lori led a fantastic crabbing trip. She went and found the best place to go, got the bait, and bought the nets. Maw, the babies and I didnt stay long. Lori was a pro and she doesn't even like to eat them. They caught a dozen blue crabs. Brandon and I ate everyone of them when they came home. Yummmy!!!!!! The kids want to go again before we leave.

Day 3 Oak island

Today we went to the NC Aquarium in Fort Fisher. We rode the ferry over there. The aquarium was so nice and the kids really enjoyed it, even the little ones. Lori took some great pictures of the fish in the tanks, they look like she was in the water with them.

Day 1 Vacation at Oak Island

We are here at Oak Island, NC and It is wonderful! WE are so close to the beach and the weather is great. We are with Maw Maw Kerr , Brandon, Chrissy Dishman, Lori , Kate and Jackson Woods. Travis is going to be with us until Wed evening and then he has to go back to work. He has played 2 rounds of golf since yesterday afternoon, he is in Heaven! The kids are loving the beach and we even got Maw on the beach yesterday. WE plan to go crabbing one night ! Oh and the picture of the creature and the bottom is of Dax ( the dishman's sugar glider)!

A New Toy

Yesterday at church Tisha gave Ellie a new toy to play with her babies. It has a place for the baby, to sleep, eat, bathe, and wash hands. All of the kids like it, and we have been fighting over it all morning. Ellie wants to put her babies in it, Camden wants to put this cow Elizabeth in it, and Perry wants to put cars in it. WE have pushed, hit and even bitten over the new toy. But with all that said they love it and it is something new! Here are a few pictures of the nice moments... Look how cute Ellie is learning how to wrap her baby in a blanket.

A Day of Birthday parties!

Saturday we had two birthday parties to attend. Camden and I went to Ty's friend party at the bowling alley. The kids had a great time bowling and eating cupcakes. After his party Travis, Ellie and Perry met us and we went to Tripp's 2nd birthday. The party was in their backyard. The kids loved the large rocking chairs they had in the barn. They had a water slide set up, but i took video instead of pictures! We were tired by the end of the night for sure!!

Play Dough

Thursday morning I decided to let the kids play with play dough with the neighbors. Camden could play for hours with it, but Ellie and Perry don't get it yet. Ellie thought she would eat it. By the time we were finished there was more on the floor than the table.
